In order to be granted ACVR Diplomate status, the veterinarian must complete 4 years of ACVR approved residency training in a Veterinary Teaching Hospital, complete a peer reviewed research project, teach classes in the Veterinary School, and pass two separate multi-day Board exam, the written Board and Oral board .
